Goal

When I was young
I had a goal.
To get through school
With good grades
And lots of friends.
Now I'm older
And I know
Good grades are
Hard to get
And some friendships
Never last.
I'll do my best
To get good grades.
I'll do my best
To keep my friends.
I'll do my best
To reach my goal.
But I know its
Still possible,
That my goal
Was a little
Farther than
I hoped to
Reach.
